Ivor Cummins
Following less-than-optimum blood test results, Ivor Cummins used his 25-year background in biochemical engineering to research the papers and studies of the last five decades, primarily in relation to the "diet-heart" hypothesis.
Scouring past writings that supported the hypothesis that dietary saturated fat elevated blood cholesterol, which in turn drove heart disease mortality, Ivor found the "evidence" given at the time to be a loose correlation at most, and certainly not causation.
He found that the tenacity of this flawed hypothesis has turned out to be no laughing matter, condemning millions to the misery of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and an extraordinary range of inflammatory diseases.
